OLD BUSINESS:
MIKE MURPHY – Safety Director Report
Mike described an incident in Indianapolis next to an interment compound. The pilot lost signal to his aircraft and it crashed in the compound. Inspection found that the antenna on the 2.4 transmitter was bent over at a 90 degree angle and was pointing directly at the aircraft. This is a no no and resulted in signal loss and the receiver went into fail safe. There was a lot of discussion, but the bottom line is that the transmitter must never point directly at the aircraft.

• Raffle tickets are available
• AMA ad has been placed and will be in the Sept and Oct issues
• Gary has sent an Email to all local clubs including the flier

• Everything is running smooth
• Equipment is all in ship shape
• We need to purchase a blower. A vote to investigate pricing passed.

• This office is still open we are looking for a new director
