 Old Business

Mike Murphy – Safety Message pay attention as we move outdoors!

Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2022 update – no report, Jim is in Florida

The raffle prize is hanging in Ryder’s

Dave Hills – status of the field

Wind sock, flag, and light are all up for the summer

The field and runway have appeared to be in good shape so we will probably not roll it this year.

The Beast battery may be dying. Dave is authorized to purchase a new one if needed.

Jeff Streit – Social Director –

New Business

Gary Stephens – Field layout and safety was discussed. We are pricing out the cost of adding black netting across the front of the shelter to protect any and all people sitting there watching planes fly at events or anytime we have guests, or we choose to sit there for lunch or rest out of the sun. This netting would be like the net behind home plate at baseball games. This would dovetail into the “spectator area” and be safe for all our non-pilot visitors.

Dan McLaren – Vet’s Home called looking for a picnic. Their visit combined has been combined with the KRAM Memorial Fly In. We will have between fifteen and twenty-five folks arriving by bus around 10:00. The Vets will be served lunch first. Once all of them have gotten lunch, then the rest of attendees can go through the line for food. Vets will have to remain masked except when eating. We will set up one tent for the Vets slightly away from the other two in an attempt to keep them germ free.

Dave Hills and Jeff Streit – reported out on the Rocket Launch the high school kids had last week. The said once they got into the bigger motors and rockets it was impressive. No damage to anything and the kids were very respectful as guests.

Gary Stephens noted that some of our signage is looking a little faded in the spectator area. Gary was delegated to decide which signs needed refreshing and is authorized to get it done.

Gary noted that the text message used to notify those that want to be notified when others are going out to the field is up and running. If you want to be added to the email list, contact Gary.
