 Old Business

Mike Murphy – Safety Message – for you builders out there, be sure to have some debonder or acetone available to unstick those fingers. Are all your batteries in storage mode for winter? If you are an electric flyer, do not fly in freezing rain – that is a sure way to lose an airplane.

Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2022 update

  • Pick the raffle plane
  • Noted that one day at the field Tom Vandenburg stopped by and asked if the club would accept a donation of all his old RC stuff since he was out of the hobby. Jim accepted it and put it in the shed. Based on discussion, we will decide what to do with it when spring gets here.

Dave Hills – status of the field – the big windsock on the shed blew away in the big windstorm. A new one will be purchased for spring along with a new American Flag.

Social Director – closed for the season

Dan McLaren and Gary Stephens delivered baskets Dec. 22. They had a nice chat with the Oesch’s and discussed the possibility to plant low crops east of the runway. The farm will review possibilities before the planting season. No promises.  Also delivered the 2022 rent check and lease for signature.

New Business

Dan McLaren – purchase new American Flag

  •  Purchase new windsock for over shed

Jim Peterson made the motion to purchase and Roger Ausema seconded and the motion passed.

Lee Frederickson – Spektrum Transmitter training session to be scheduled for March or April – stay tuned.

Danny Osborn – reported out on the New Year’s Day fun fly – he and Lee Frederickson each flew one flight and headed back to the warm car.  Danny has participated 53 of the last 55 years!!!

Danny Osborn has plans for skis if anyone is interested in building as set. Just give him a call, he does not respond well to emails.
