 Old Business

Mike Murphy – Safety Message – Mike reemphasized the need to have a fire extinguisher in the shop and a smoke detector in the area of the charger station.

Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2022 update – after a lot of arm twisting and the promise of a 34% wage increase, Jim graciously agreed to be Vice President in charge of the Swap Meet again for 2022. A lot of discussion took place about what plane to have for the 2022 raffle plane. The Evolution Turbo Timber and the 550 Ultra Stick were discussed. Final decision will be made at the January meeting so keep your eyes open and bring your suggestion to the January meeting.

Dave Hills – status of the field – the two small windsocks are down and safely stored in the shed for the winter. (I got an email from one of our members that the big windsock got blown off the pole next to the shed. Another repair for spring…)

Also, the staple plungers have been returned…

Social Director – closed for the season

Web Master – Chris Mroch reports the web site is 100% up to date and everything is functioning as intended. He also noted that some officers have received spam in recent weeks. Should you get any requests concerning our web site please just forward them to Chris and take no other action!

New Business

Dan McLaren – proposed Fruit baskets for landlord and nearest neighbor to be      delivered before Christmas. All were in favor…

Gary Stephens – nominations for Club Officers for 2022

  • Need new social director
  • Jim Herron was convinced to be First Vice President (responsible for swap meet)
  • Jim Grant agreed to be Second Vice President (learning swap meet for future) for another year but will not become First Vice President in 2023.

With no other nominations being offered, Allen Simpson made the motion to close nominations. Dan McLaren seconded the motion and the motion carried.

Allen then motioned that we elect the proposed slate of officers. Danny Osborn seconded the motion and the motion carried. Our officers for 2022 are

            President                     Gary Stephens

            Vice President             Jim Herron

            2nd Vice President       Jim Grant

            Secretary/Treasurer     Dan McLaren

            Safety Officer             Mike Murphy

            Maintenance Officer   Dave Hills

            Social Director            TBD

            Web Master                 Chris Mroch

  • Food for thought – we will need mowing assistance for summer 2022 and a Social Director for 2022. If interested, please let Gary or I know!

Lee Frederickson has offered to have a Spectrum Transmitter training session to take some of the mystery out of programming the new radios we get for Christmas. Session will probably be part of the February meeting. Watch the agenda…

Lee Frederickson noted that a good part of Floyd Atkins collection is available for sale and has been moved to the old Classic Chevrolet building just of 28th Street. Go to the north entrance between 9:00am and 2:00 weekdays and ask for Dave Parrotte.
