Old Business

Mike Murphy – Safety Message
Mike noted that someone discharged the fire extinguisher over the weekend and left it on the table in the shelter.  They also left their cooked three cell battery in the sand bucket.  However, no one was notified that the extinguisher had been used and needed refilling.  Please, if you use the extinguisher notify me (245-5874 or jmcla34799@comcast.net) or another club officer so the refilling can be arranged.  The cost to recharge and recertify the unit is $23.75.

Jim Grant – Swap Shop update
200 tickets sold to date and six tables are now paid for with another 5 spoken for.  Jim also passed around a sign up sheet for the swap shop and thanked all who signed up to work.

Lee Frederickson reported the combat season is over.  Mark Thorp (Prez of the Holland club) was the season high point getter. Great fun was had by all…

Mark Schmaltz reported that less than 20 people attended the Club Picnic. Good weather, good food, and good flying were enjoyed by all who attended.

Jim Herron – reported the Lawn tractor belt squeal has been fixed and new blades will be put on this week.  It should survive until the fall tune up…

New Business

Phil Shea called for any ideas to boost attendance. Jim Grant presented the idea of a poker fun fly. (Three flights with five elements – take off, five rolls, five loops, one inverted pass, and landing. Accumulated points get cards and best poker hand wins.  The prize is $100 out of Jim’s pocket! Thanks Jim!!!
