Old Business
Dave Pierce reported out on the Swap Meet of October 26.  All tables were sold with a couple on the waiting list, two of which were allowed to set up in the parking lot.  Again this year some discussion surrounded when we should allow vendors and buyers in to conduct business.  Some feel the vendors should not be allowed to buy and sell before the general public is allowed into the building.  Likewise, mixed emotions prevailed about when we should open the doors to the general public.  Dave will take all this discussion into account for next year.  The donations from the hobby shops were very visible on the bottom line of the event – a big thank you goes out Hobby World, Ryder’s, Hobby Town, and West Michigan Park Flyers.  This year the raffle plane was won by one of our own – first year member Ronald Stein!!!  Profit for the event stands about $2700.00 which will cover the fruit baskets for our landlord and neighbors and the field rental for 2015.  A deposit was made with the K of C for Sunday October 25, 2015.

Lee Frederickson led a discussion of field improvement items.  His assessment is that the two money items are the runway and the shelter floor.  He believes the electric to the field, based on a donated generator, table and chair repair, start up stand repair, and fence repair are all labor intensive but small cost items.  A committee of six, including Lee, was established to prioritize the items and work out the details of what would need to be done to effectively complete each project including project cost and manpower or contractor needs.

Nik reopened nominations for club officers.  After an extended silence, Lee    Frederickson suggested that since Nik has held two positions (President and Web     Master) that he would like to hold the Field Maintenance Officer position in    addition to President since he likes the field to “look good”.  That self-nomination     completed the slate for 2015.  All positions are un-apposed so a show of hands at    the December meeting, assuming a quorum, will elect the following for 2015.
        President:  Lee Frederickson
        Vice President:  Dave Pierce
        Assistant Vice President:  George Orphan
Lead Field Safety Officer:  Ed Bradley
        Field Maintenance Officer:  Lee Frederickson
        Social Director:  Mark Roddy
        Web Master:  Nik Zinsli

Buffalo Wild Wings fund raiser will probably be one of the early Sundays             in December – more to follow.

Dan McLaren made a motion to maintain the dues structure as they currently exist ($75) for 2015.  Motion was seconded by Jim Grant.  Discussion had Lee Fredrickson suggest dues are a bargain based on other clubs in the area and other hobbies (golf, tennis, etc.) and we should consider an increase. After discussion, the motion carried 24 to 2.  Dues will remain at $75 for 2015.

Dan McLaren made a motion to spend up to $400 for fruit baskets for the    landlord, neighbors to the east and south, and the field roller.  Motion was     seconded by Jim Grant and supported during discussion.  Motion Carried.

Ed Buck asked when the flags (on pole and in shelter) would be removed for the    winter.  Nik responded “soon”.  The flag on the pole will be properly disposed of    by Dave Kingma and a new one purchased for next season.

Show and Tell – none this month.

50/50 for November was won by Dave Kingma in the amount of $17.

The November attendance winner was Ed Bradley who got a new glow plug.
