OLD BUSINESS:

Mark Schmaltz reported on the IMAC event of August 24.  Nine pilots competed including one from Chicago.  Mark thanked the members who volunteered their time to help out during the event.  He has had nothing but positive feedback from the attendees and most have stated they will return next year.  There were 5 contestants in the Basic class which was won by our very own President Nikolei Zinsli by a mere 18.6 points (out of 10,000 points awarded over the two day event). Nikolei also won the Freestyle event (4 minute routine flying to music).

Dave Pierce reminded everyone that raffle tickets are will be mailed out shortly and all members are expected to sell or buy the tickets to support the club.
The Swap Meet is scheduled for October 27th with set up at 8:00am and doors opening at 9:00am.  Dave reported 22 tables are sold and he has a table for the sailing club and expecting one from the car club.

Lee Frederickson reported the Wounded Worrier event of Aug. 17 was a very good event and well attended.  By the end of the day he had cooked 120 chickens!  Lee Lubbers reported there were 201 people in attendance during the day.  Lee reported a check for $2001 dollars was sent to the Wounded Worrier Project. Thanks to the KRAM members that attended this join-club event for a good cause!

NEW BUSINESS:
Reminder:  Vets Fly In on Sept. 14 –  remember to bring a dish to pass. Setup will begin at 8, flying at 9. Bring any warbirds you have. Mari Schmaltz is donating a new US flag for the club, as ours is getting tattered. Thanks Mari!

The Wingeier Field (full scale air field down the street) is having its 9th Annual Fly-In / Drive-In Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, September 7th from 8:00am until 12:00 noon.

We are working on finalizing the meeting dates at the school as well as the weekend indoor flying schedule which will have to work around the new athletic schedule.  More to follow when dates are finalized…

Nik reported we had 8 Plaques left over from the IMAC event.  Anyone have any ideas what to do with them? Club nominated awards (most improved pilot, etc)?

Nametags for newer members are waiting for you in the red coffee can at the bottom of the pin box. Please take a look if you don’t have one yet!

No Show and Tell this month.
