Minutes of the July 2, 2013 Meeting
Called to order at 7:00pm by President Nikolei Zinsli
Members present: 17
Three guests present: Owen Whalen, Paul Herweyer, Kevin Kent
Review of the Minutes of the May meeting resulted in no additions, deletions, or changes.
Motion to approve by: Danny Osborn

Vote: carried
Financial Report presented by Nikolei Zinsli and can be seen by club members on the web site. No questions or discussion on the subject. Current membership stands at 63 Regular, 4 Lifetime, 5 Associate, and 6 Junior for a total membership of 78.

Vote to accept the financial report carried.

OLD BUSINESS:
We are expecting a call from the contractor anytime now to start the shed addition. When we get a date, we will send out an email looking for volunteers to help get the work done.
The fun-fly had low participation, so the events were not done. The rest of the day was spent flying anyway. A few members from the Sparta Skyhawks were there and everyone had a good time.
NEW BUSINESS:
Dave Pierce has the raffle tickets printed and is distrubting them to the membership. Please keep $10 in your wallet incase you see him at the field. Every person he can hand them to, saves us postage!
Ed Fowler said the mower needed a new carb and other misc parts that would cost around $450 with labor to fix. The mower is older and has had a lot of use, repairs like this can be expected. Nikolei made the motion to release the funds needed for repair. Mark Schmaltz and Alan Simpson seconded the motion, and the vote carried.
The club picnic is right around the corner, this next weekend on the 13th. Set starts at 8am. Please come early to help. We’ve got some great prizes this year, and you can only win if you’re there…so I suggest you attend! We might also run some fun-fly events to make it interesting. Don’t forget to bring a dish to pass! After the picnic, we’re all invited to the field in Saranac for their night-fly & bonfire. Should be fun!

Lee Frederickson noted that they are looking for some wounded warriors to invite to the event. If you know of one, please give Lee a call.
SHOW AND TELL:
Phil Shea brought the repaired fuselage of his Ultra Sport that he crashed pretty severely the week before. Whomever said “That’ll never fly again.”, pushed Phil to prove them wrong. The repairs looked fantastic, and the wing repair is now underway.
The 50/50 prize of $10 was won by Ed Fowler, which he donated back to the club.
The attendance award was won by Lee Frederickson who took home something good.
Next meeting: Aug. 6th, 2013 at the field.
